Hi
Yes I remember them, they were chocolate covered peanuts and the joke was,.....This chap went to the doctors with a peanut stuck up his bum, the doctor prescribed a heavy dose of laxative and said 'don't worry, it'll come out a treat, the other was the topic bar song....'what's got a Hazel Nut in every bite' and everyone sang......'Squirrel S.h.i.t'.

Always used to melt in my hand, but always was an unlucky bugger!
Treats were chocolate based, unlike M&M's which are fruity. Similar idea with "crusty" shell
Would you eat them now if you could still remember them?
Falsies would be wrecked in no time, I think treats caused the falsies in the first place.

Did you hear about the chap who went to the doctor with a peanut stuck in his ear?
The doctor poured in melted chocolate, let it set and then it came out a treat!

Chocolate Treets became Minstrels and peanut ones became M&M's. I also recall Toffee Treats... but nothing became of them.
Excellent cinema food!

Treats melt in your mouth not in your hand. They were better before they were m and ms. Bigger for one thing, and there was no horrid peanut in the middle.
