my boyfriends best friend turned my tv on and now the sound wont work and i have no idea what to do & my dad will kill me when his tv doesnt turn on, pls help me.

Just the sound doesn't work? Could he have hit the MUTE button?

If its an older tv, its just the mute.. if its newer like a dlp, lcd or plasma, there is a way to turn off the tv speakers when using a surround sound, all you have to do is go to the menu, go to sound settings and go through and look for speakers, on/off or tv speaker on/off just switch it through the menu and it should work!

try hitting the "mute" button on your remote.
try disconnecting your AV and putting back on
if that doesn't work, then he probably messed the rear tube up..and it costs a lot of money to fix....it would be just better to get a new tv for that kind of money.

Maddie what the hell are you talking about rear tube causing no sound !!!Like the others said try the mute, guarantee it !!
