It is a toss up for me. It amazed me to see so many Church Billboards saying that they were showing the "Left Behind Serise Movies" in the sanctuaries. I guess the funniest one I saw was....

"There is no fishing in the lake of fire".

I saw one:

"Stop, drop and roll won't do much good if you're burning in Hell."

I thought that was pretty funny. Probably not the best way to get people interested, but funny.

HI Miss Zero! I thought you were gone from here. :( Glad to see you are back. For the later message, I disagree with the statement also. While I do accept homosexuality, I disagree on behalf of what understand Christianity teaches. Everyone "sins" and no "sin" is greater than another. According to the teaching, this is why salvation is important. The sign itself is judgmental - an act that is also considered a sin. So it does the same as the "sin" it tries to demonize. The first message is more profound. Logic is used to understand reality. It is also mathematically used to prove statements as valid and complete. Reality is subjective and logic can betray. And I think Christianity's "truth" is not always rational or "true". However, it does strike a cord as I'm reading Valis - a book about religion and mental delusion. Philip K. Dick portrays his quest to understand the metaphysical (God, gods, consciousness .. ect.) by analyzing the life of Horselover Fat - his mentally unstable alter ego. Horselover Fat, as he believes God physically communicates with him through a pink laser transmitted from the space satellite VALIS, comes to the conclusion that the Creator is irrational and therefore his creation is irrational. Yes, a mentally unstable man claiming this is strikingly ironic. So I must giggle about the first Church sign. As His "truth" is irrational and an irrational sentient identity could never understand logic, according to Horselover Fat.

There is a church near my area that has a billboard that says:

"Come and Receive your Miracle"

I am Christian, but to me that is the weirdest billboard i have ever seen... to be honest with you I think the Pastor is a little twisted and in fact misguiding people.

You are never guaranteed a miracle by going to church, that is absurd... but then again, it's the largest Church in our area.

There's this church near work. Recently someone put a hole in it with a rock or something. So now there's a big band-aid over the hole and the sign says "OUCH"
Right after Easter it read "Open now til Christmas"

I saw one on my way home from work today that said "Our church is prayer-conditioned." Now I understand it's supposed to be a pun on air conditioning because it's been so hot out lately, but doesn't it sound like they're admitting to being brainwashed?

Well, it wasn't a church billboard per se, but it is a religious billboard. I like the ones that say,
"Don't make me come down there."
