At my house it sure does. Reason is this: We like to combine our breakfast and lunch to one larger meal and surprisingly enough, when supper comes around, we're not as hungry and wont eat as much right before bed.

I live in Seattle and on my way to school today there was a sign advertising weekend brunches at a well known restaurant.
I still eat brunches, especially on weekends when we all get up to late for breakfast but still are not ready for a full lunch meal.

Yup... at almost every special occasion my family eats brunch. It's kinda a tradition we have. It's more convenient than a breakfast (because everyone is half asleep...) and doesn't take up the entire day (so we can still plan something else). Pretty fun. :)
