Hey does anyone know of bars in NYC that don't ID? I am 19, but an old looking 19, so would that help?

A liquor license is expensive - nobody is stupid enough to risk it by selling a couple of beers to a minor.

Honestly, people that are saying that everybody cards is full of it. It all depends really. If you're going to an upscale bar then chances are they're gonna card, and if you're a guy then the answers most likely yes, they will card you. But if you're a girl and you look mature you could probably get away with it. if you choose to go to a grungy small bar they usually don't care and they won't card as long as you don't look like a kid.

all bars now card. they even card people over 40,who look it. Don't even try in the city it's not worth the hassle. You can get into so bars and clubs and get a band for your arm that says you are under age to drink, but at least you can get in if you want to go with friends who are older. There really is no shame in not drinking and not getting drunk, you can have just as much fun sober, and gee, you'll remember what happened.

I'm sure there's some out there But but no one is going to tell you where they are because it would be self defeating.
Btw The great gormenghast 10014, a 19 year old is not a minor , they're simply too young to legally drink.
I know that at 18 years old. both you and I were legally drinking in NYC .

I've never NOT been carded in NYC. People are right, they all card. Get yourself a fake (preferrably someone else's real ID, because some places scan the card).

They all card. However, some bars in Staten Island don't card. Mainly in Tottenville, though. When I was 20, my husband celebrated his birthday at a bar and I got in and was able to drink. He said most of them are like that./

None of them. They ALL card, because to have a liquor license in NY, it's over $10K a year, probably closer to $15K, and NO reputable establishment is willing to put that kind of scratch on the line so someone underage can be amused.

They all do. They can lose their license if they don't. And if someone posted a bar that did on this page, they'd be out of business before you got there.
