I saw a cartoon with a hen and a Humpty-Dumpty-type egg in bed with the sheets rumpled around them. The egg is lying back on his pillow with a big smile and smoking a cigarette, while the hen is sitting up and glaring at him in dissatisfaction.
She's saying, "I guess that answers THAT question."

The chicken. It was probably some kind of reptile-like animal (which most birds descend from dinosaurs, or are the closes thing now) which eventually turned into a bird-chicken type thing. Like most reptilians it laid an egg.
