I have a 1997 ford taurus. I have power windows in it and i cannot get the windows to roll down on their individual switches. I can lower all the windows with the master switch but the individual switches are not lowering them. I replaced the master switch and that didnt do anything. I dont think there is anything wrong with the individual switches because when i lower the windows with the master switch, i can stop the window from moving if i push down on the individual switch on the window i am lowering down. All the motors are working fine in the windows also. Please someone help. Thanks for your answers!!

Have you check the fuses for it? Is the key in the right position of your key ignition? I had a 1978 Dodge Cutlass how ever it was spelled. It had the same problem it would not roll down the windows during the hottest day of the year traveling for a long, long distance. It turns out it was the key ignition was not in the proper position of the key ignition. Check the fuse first, usually that is the first place to check to see if power is getting to your window switches. Good luck.

Is the window switch in the unlock position?? That's what it sounds like. If it is, then take a look at it and see if the contacts are making. good luck.
