this project is stupid... soon the questions are gonna be riddles. thanks for all the help guys. ohh yeah, and how little, and how much will it extend life? i assume, for animals everything varies, like lizards will proably take more time, and i dunno a frog less time...

well yeah, you can drink lots and lots and lots of water like all the time, then go into the desert and die of dehydration.
Or you could be dying of dehydration and drink a sip of water, and then die of dehydration. There is a minimum of water you need per any period of time and if you don't meet it you become dehydrated.

I know that you can guzzle water in the desert, and still die of dehydration...like, you are drinking all you have, but it still isn't enough to replace what you're losing. I just don't know how much and stuff....you might want to research this on a survival website...that could tell you how much you would need to survive. I think it depends on the climate, also.

yes, you can drink in-sufficient amounts of water and still die of dehydration. You must stay hydrated to live and remain healthy.
a healthy human can go about 3 days without water. adding excercise or stress lowers that amount.

i dont understand your question, but i know if you drink too much water you can drown yourself.
