No. Atheists dont believe in anything. If enough people are patriotic, atheists wont be just for spite... and they will criticize us for it.

Do you fly a flag with a duncecap on it? Flag day is a nothing day to you? If you're an American you're a disgrace. Don't fly a flag if you don't want to but don't call it a nothing day.
Edit: Don't forget the "under god" part was ADDED by the religious folks who never ever ever never never try to force their beliefs on anyone.

Aside from the fact that country flags have nothing whatsoever to do with religion, atheists are not a specified, unified, herded group of people. We come from all walks of life, from all backgrounds.
We are just people who do not believe in the existence of god, any god. We do not need any symbols to show we are part of a 'group'. We do not need any books to tell us how to behave.

A couple years ago I was running a marathon and I saw this guy carrying a flag. I ran up alongside him and asked him what the flag was for and he said it was the "Christian flag". I bit my lip to keep from laughing, picked up the pace and got away from that nutjob. I suppose he has a "Christian golden calf" on his mantle at home too.

a flag is a flag, and just because the national anthem says one nation under God that has nothing to do with the flag.

Excuse me while I pop my eyes back into my head....
What does Flag Day have to do with religion? Or lack thereof? It could be considered idol worship by some, you know.
I've always wondered - do you think these little gems up all by yourself, or does your mom help you?

I am an American citizen.
to suggest that being an atheist means that I am less of a good citizen is extrememly anti-American, and evidences poor logic skills on the part of the one asking the question
