Write to the county seat. But your original birth certificate may be sealed because of the adoption. They can tell you how much it will cost to get it if they have it on file and whether or not it's sealed. If could be filed under Baby girl Jones or something like that if your birth mother did not give you a name.

I would first contact the Court Clerk in Shannon County and ask her if the records are sealed. She can tell you then what you need to do. It would be up to the Judge if he allows the records to be unsealed if they are sealed. If you were adopted at birth your parents names will not be on the original birth certificate. You would then need to look at the court records. There should be information in the records. It's strictly up to the Judge if he allows those records to be unsealed.

You may be able to ask your tribal officials if approval was involved. Your parent/s may be living but elderly if they consider that factor.
