Where do you live--and how are things REALLY? Do the Iraqis want us in or out? What do YOU believe will happen when we leave? And why are the Iraqis not doing more to help themselves? Even I (who support the troops and their mission) am growing weary and sickened by the brutality of the terrorism there.

I believe that this is very Important in a way of public relations. Should American forces stage events like this over Iraq, it could lead to an improved view by Iraqi citizens, and curb militant recruitment. And if American Soldiers helped clean streets and do odd jobs, that would greatly help as well. As for the other member of the yahoo community and their question of what you think Shara thinks, this is my two cents:
We cannot and must not "Cut and Run" and allow Iraq to crumble into a more vicious Civil War. In my mind, even if it is a hard decision, I would sacrifice one American solider over two Innocent Iraqis.
