No such thing, Luke. Sodium pentothal isn't one, despite the rumors you may have heard. (It works well in fiction, not so well in real life.)
It's also illegal to give someone a drug without their knowledge and consent (unless you have a court order, or a power of attorney for an incompetent patient). It's assault, and that can get you jail time.
Try looking into the person's eyes. You may be able to elicit some truth that way.
Sorry.

Hi. Truth drugs are mostly fictional. They are seen as unreliable; with most people unable to differ between reality and fantasy once drugged. Truth drugs do not make someone "tell" the truth. The lower the ability of the person to lie. Much of the effect relies on the beliefs of the subject thinking they can not lie because they have been exposed to a truth serum. However - there are other ways to tell if someone is lying - through body language, emotions and reaction. I would search: how to tell if someone is lying. Lots of resources come up.

Yeah, sure. A few months ago, you filed a question about you wanting to have a guinea pig and your parents would not let you, and now you can afford to pay 25 grands to get truth serum?
Get a life.

There are no legal truth serums since no one is going to willingly take it. secondly theres no known truth serum that is 100% reliable or ever close. Barbituates generally lower a persons ability to lie by dulling their wits.
..you might try verita serum, but the use of that substance is highly regulated.

There isn't a chemical compound that makes people tell the truth, you know.
Ask any anesthesiologist.

Shots of hard liquor. People will tell you everything when they're drunk. My friend admitted that she had never had sex with her boyfriend yet though she would always say she did.

You don't read apparently. They don't work. They are not reliable enough to be considered useful.

I think sodium thiopental is still the standard, I really doubt that it's reliable.
