Awesome! Seems like no Y/A couldn't find any similar questions.
Okay more here's some more details. God didn't have to create the perfect humans, but he sure didn't have to create humans with the capacity and potential for hate and anger. If he was omniscient and can see ahead he would have known his creation would be doomed to cause suffering and pain amongst themselves.
Sure humans can be given free will. But as a creator, god could easily have had a blue print which made humans without the capacity for these negative characteristics. It just doesn't make sense for a loving god to plant these defective and destructive characteristics into his creations.
You say humans with free will would have found out about these anyways right? But I disagree. If you believe in a creator that is all powerful, then something as fundamental as this could not have been overlooked.

Okay some people are not answering the fact that if god can see ahead of time that this free will can potentially be destructive, why would he allow it? The idea of a test of faith is really unappealing don't you think?

Mo I would define happiness as not an absence of sadness, pain or suffering but a complete feeling by itself. It doesn't need to be countered by an opposing force. How can you be so certain that we can't feel happiness without experiencing suffering. This seems to suggest that everyone should get their dose of suffering and pain once in a while to feel the happiness they would be missing!

We only know within the scope of our knowledge. What's to say we can't be "created" differently. We wouldn't know whether this is god's first try or fourth or fifth try at creating humans. lol. Heck if god is so powerful he could just remake this whole universe in a second and recreate everything exactly the same but without humans having the capacity to hate.

mrjixer, your idea of love and choosing seems too narrow and inside the box. Think outside the box and see that a creator doesn't have to create a choice. Things can exist without a choice of good or evil. Things can be neutral. Now you say what's the point of that? Well our frame of mind won't understand it and think it's boring but that's only because we come from a frame of mind that has this capacity for feeling bored.

People keep mentioning "free will". Well from a human frame of mind our concept seems to mean that we must have a "choice" between one extreme good and another extreme evil. Can we ever go beyond our human frame of mind and create a concept that free will can mean simply a neutral state of existence? That seems to clash with our understanding though. But whose to say our understanding is as deep as those of a creator that created the concept of free will. In other words our idea of free will is rather limited to our way of understanding things.

The Viking, our free will allows us to ask these questions and judge god. If it wasn't free will then we wouldn't be able to do this would we?

There's this little thing called free will, and like it or not the polarity of emotions that come up with life experiences are things that we can chose to act on or not act on. It is not the fault of the creative source that emotions exists, it is the fault of individual human beings for getting stuck on negative emotions such as hate and anger rather than love and peace.
Perfect humans are created and moulded by society, not God. A child is perfect as a child and society turns him or her into what he or she will be and how they will react to the world around him. Any imperfections, behavioural, mental and emotional are the result of a society gone wrong and not helping that child to grow into a healthy human being. Please don't blame such things on the Divine/creative force/God/Goddess.
We have enough problems with humanity treating each other badly and the problem is greed, deflecting such problems into blaming the divine for crating the capacity to expereince a full range of emotions, simply does not get us one iota closer to solving the important problems this world faces presently!
Next thing, you cannot have free will without the polar opposites of love and hate, light and dark, sun and moon, happy and sad. You need to be able to know what sad is to know what happy is, and to not have the polarity is to not have the choice. There are times when it's appropriate to be angry or sad, and to not have the capacity to express those emotions and act on them when they are appropriate, such a as when someone does something to hurt you or someone you love is sick or dying would make you less than human. Even animals experience emotions!
Suffering and pain are the exact opposites of relaxing and enjoying life in pleasure. For example: How would you know you were in bliss on vacation if you did not know what it was to not be in bliss at work? Human beings need to compare to understand.
I don't agree with the thinking that if there is a God he or she should be all powerful, I thnk you're just saying that to get a rise of the more religious folk and you don't really think that. Creation is as it is, there is no changing it! We simply have to deal with things as they are. Life is not a what if scenario!
Blessings,
Yoga Rani

I believe God created the Universe and He started life on earth. Evolution took over.
I believe that God created our souls and He continues to create souls.
I believe He does not get involved with us here in any way. Does He know everything? No.
We make our plan before we come here for this life but as we all know, life happens. Here comes that free will thing. God gave us a brain. We use it to the best of our ability. We are all subject to the free will of others, ( 9/11 ), and our own free will, (what job we take.)
As humans we are flawed. I believe God, if He really exists, is not flawed. He would not possess such human faults as hate and anger. Thereby making a hell completely unnecessary.
I believe that most souls cross over. There are dark souls and they go right back in-utero when the body dies. Was Ted Bundy or Hitler a dark soul? Or were they a soul trapped in a body with a mental, or physiological, problem? A Downs person has a completely intact soul, only the body is affected. That soul will remember their life and the lessons learned from living a life in a Down's body.
I guess I got carried away answering your question but it just seemed relevant to me. I realize that my beliefs are a little 'far out there' for most people. I just go by what makes sense to me.

WOW, Ur Smart!!! U have it all figured out there don't U??? I'll bet U even practice talking just cause U like Ur own sound!!! Problem is, U seemed to miss the whole Angelic Conflict thing!!! We are here because of the Appeals Trial of Satan. Satan wanted a "Level Playing Field" to allow him a better chance of having Mankind worship him instead of God. So "Free Will" was given by God to Mankind just as it was to Satan, which is where Satan went wrong and in Arrogance, rebelled against God. So from the beginning We have the choice of how we "Respond" in certain situations. Hatred is a Response that was brought to Mankind by Satan. Ask Urself, if a being created perfect & placed in "Perfect Environment" would have anything to Respond to in Hatred??? After the "Fall" & being kicked out of the Garden, the "Hatred Response" should have been towards Satan for "Instigating" Eves' Fall by Deception, not towards God! But again the "Father of Lies" twisted it toward God & we just keep believing & Living the Lies!!! If A. & E. didn't have "Free Will", they wouldn't have the "Capacity" for many things which is Not what Satan wanted! He needed for people to be able to Worship him as god! What makes U seem to think that God Doesn't have a "Blueprint" for Mankind??? Isn't that what Jesus Christ is all about, or didn't anybody ever let U know about that??? Seems troubling to me that just like Satan, U are trying to "Twist" and Force Ur False Conclusions upon Us saying that God "Planted Defective & Destructive Charistics" in mankind!!! I guess that would be true if Ur god is Satan which seems to be the case here. In case U haven't heard this as well, the Bible has NEVER BEEN PROVEN WRONG, but U keep trying cause I know U like to hear Urself talk. John

God did not create humans like this, remeber that the only Human God ever created was Adam, Eve came from Adam, and everybody else did too...Except for Jesus (which was the seed of the Holy Ghost)
But we all inherited our attributes from our fathers. We are begotten, not created.
God told Adam not to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but Adam did it in disobedience. It was not God's will for humans to have this capacity, or even the knowledge of evil, but it was Adams disobedience that caused us to have this.
God gave us this free will so that we would be able to choose to Love and obey Him. He wanted a creation that would CHOOSE to love him. If we didn't have the ability to choose evil, then we wouldnt have the ability to choose love either. If He made humans without the ability to choose, we would all just be a bunch of robots saying, I love you God, I love you, but it wouldn't mean anything to God. You can't force love, it is a choice.
So even though we screwed up God's plan He knew all along that He would give us the chance for redeption. The Bible says, "Christ is that Lamb that was slain even before the foundation of the world."
As to the things we can't understand...Sometimes we just have to realize that our puny human brains are not going to be able to understand the expanse and mystery of God's higher thoughts and ways. He made our understanding limited so that we would need to rely and trust in Him.
Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.

Adam & Eve were created without hate or anger. When they exchanged "eternal life" for "knowledge of good and evil" (the tree) they sent mankind on a quest to choose between good and evil.
The word "Sin" does not appear in the Bible until Cain murders his brother (Adam & Eve's offspring). Here we see the first hate and anger in mankind. It is a gift that we get to choose between good and evil. The Bible is a tool to lead take knowledge of what our ancestors have learned about good and evil and apply it to our lives. This is wisdom.
The good news is that Jesus paid the price for all the hot heads and angry people (plus other sinners too) and after our journey here on Earth, we will have "Knowledge of Good and Evil" and "Eternal Life" ... so through Jesus we get it all. Thx JC

True. It wasn't overlooked. Without these emotions, we would not be able to hate horrific crimes or evil of any sort, motivating us to punish them. We would not be angered by injustices and wrongs around the world, prompting us to act to neutralize them. Hate and anger are not always negative. When directed against negative things, they can be quite an asset. Unfortunately, we direct these emotions at the wrong subjects.

When will you clowns realize that your jibberish makes no sense? For the last time, God gave us free will or there would be no point in life at all. Since there is free will there has to be an opposite side to the spectrum. God doesnt burn anyone. You CHOOSE that. God is giving you what you want. Eternal separation. Can any of you clowns please explain what is so hard to understand? God Bless

God did create humans without hate and anger. Humans didn't know what hate or anger was, until satan came into the picture.
God did create the perfect humans. It was satan that messed everything up.
God knew that man was weak, that's why he forgave Adam and Eve, and that's why he forgives us today, he even sent his only begotten son Jesus to earth to make a way for us.
God does give us free will, it's satan that trys to make us do things aganist our will. God lets us serve who we want, in the end, if we serve satan, we have to pay the price, if we serve God, we go to heaven.
It's not for us to question or judge God.

Actually in the beginning he did. He modeled them after himself. Adam and Eve were at first perfect until the great fall of man, where satan appeared in the form of snake and tempted Eve with the apple( which God had said not to eat of). Eve's sin put evil in the heart of men forever.

Sin came into the world in the Garden of Eden and it was down hill from there.
Satan hates everything God has created. If people were united and loved each other it defeats his purpose. He wants us all to end up as he will, eternally damned.
Hate is a powerful emotion, and anger fuels it. Know who your real enemy is and resit him. Satan hates us all.
God is love, he loves us no matter what.
