no, it's against the law for a church to tell you who to vote for, they would lose their 501(c) 3 tax exempt status.
they can only discuss the issues. and the best thing you can do for anybody is pray, which we do.

Well, since Bush isn't a candidate, and cannot be a Presidential candidate again I would say your a little late in asking your question.
I have never heard of a church telling people who they can vote and pray for. I'm sure there are a bunch of evangelical atheist's that will star your question though.

i come across myself placed off with the aid of this besides, and that i'm a Bush supporter. I have no difficulty with the church training the congregation on the topics and then asserting "Vote your unsleeping", yet not fairly tell the congregation which candidate to vote for.

Churches should not interfere with Politics
as Government should not interfere with Churches
(I vote as an individual, not as a class) (Do Union leaders force people to vote Democrat?)

Gee, seems like most people answered NO. This is a red herring thrown out everytime some candidate doesn't get "his share of the religous vote." Hope this didn't ruin your day.

I don't know of any church that does that. Christians know who is in the word of God and who is pretending. You can't pretend to know God and talk the talk....you have to walk the walk...George Bush is a good, God fearing man. That is why he won the Republican vote.

No, my church explicitly states that political affiliations and voting are left entirely up to the individual.

No, my church would have me think it is a sin not to pray for our elected officials.

It is a sin if you do! Wait, you must just be out of your mind to vote for him.
