He is moving to a team with his rivals so who will stay a true fan?

I think all of his true fans will follow him. I think it would be a real test of fan integrity. Are the fans loyal to Dale Sr., Dale Jr., Bud, or DEI? It will all come out in the wash.
After all, just because your driver drives for a team you don't like doesn't mean you can't like that driver anymore. I used to be an HMS fan and now I'm just a Jeff and Jimmie fan because Kyle's an a** and Casey's a talentless hack.

If they are a true fan. Kyle Busch (my fav) could go to Micheal Waltrip Racing and i will still root for him and will follow him. Im hoping next year for a heated rivalry between Kyle and Gordon.

I'd say a large majority will follow JR. Most are diehard enough that him driving a Hendrick car won't matter... Doesn't mean they still won't throw beer cans @ Gordon though

They'll still stick with him, Jr could drive for Team Red Bull and his fans would follow him, some hillbillies would get pissed about him driving a Toyota but they'd still be behind him. There is no rivalry between Jr and Gordon, blame the fans for creating that stupid "rivalry".

I have a feeling that his faithful followers will watch him where ever he goes. I'm sure that people aren't happy that he is going to Hendrick Motorsports however he did need to go where he could win a championship.
