Of course not.
Being "Gay" is simply a temptation to have sexual relations with someone of the same gender. It is no worse than being tempted to steal, lie, cheat, or murder.
Now, if you put your temptation into action, that is another story. You have sinned at that point. But then, so have all the other people having sexual relations outside of a marriage covenant whether they be gay or straight. So have all the other cheaters, liars, and thieves, too. You are no worse or better than any other sinner. (And we all, everyone, are sinners. We all get tempted, and we all succumb to different temptations.)
If you are an unrepentant sinner, God is not happy with your behavior. If you think you can just go merrily along sinning, and just quickly ask forgiveness with your last breath, you are sadly mistaken.
If you are a Christian homosexual, and have slipped into sin from time to time, you can and will be forgiven, but you must repent. Repent means to turn away from the sin. Don't do it any more. Ask God for the strength to resist the temptations. Live faithfully, and if you do get overcome by temptation, immediately go to God with your apology and then move on and away from the sin.
This goes for all sin, not just homosexual sin, by the way. Alls sins are pretty much equal in the eyes of God.

Those people at your church should hate the sin, not the sinner. Read Romans chapter 1. You'll definitely get an answer there.

Homosexuality is definitely a Hell-worthy offense, at least in Islam, Judaism, and Christianity

Being homosexual doesn't condemn you to hell. Live your life the best you can and screw what everyone else thinks. Please understand that I do not buy into the idea that you have no choice in your sexual orientation. I say this because of recent events in my life. However God will see each person as an individual and no sin will lump you in with a group. Live your life as best as you can and God will judge you as he see fits. This much I can promise, he will not condemn you to hell.

NO. Of course if you are gay you WILL NOT go to hell. it is only small, ignorant people who rant such stupidity. and no doubt it will be they who arrive at that hell. also if being around such persons who say such ignorance, then don't you think for your own peace of mind and well being that you should depart permanently those negative surroundings and discover things, people etc. that are more positive to your goodself? i leave it with you.

Of Course a gay can go to heaven.
They are no more condemned than anybody else.
In the eyes of God, all sin is the same, in fact, the Bible says that if you offend (sin) in one area (of the Law), you've offended (sinned) in all areas of the Law. So all sin is equal in the eyes of God. And Jesus died for the homosexual sins just as much as he died for the heterosexuals sins.
A gay has to ask forgiveness for their sins just like anybody else, and they can go to heaven, just like anybody else.
The Bible says, "God is not willing that anyone should perish." which means that no one is condemned from the beginning, only after they die having chosen not to accept Christ as Lord.
Although people that continue to practice homosexuality with an unrepentant heart will die and go to hell, just like someone who practices any sin with an unrepentant heart will die and go to hell.
If people at your church hate homosexuals they in just as much danger of going to hell as the practicing homosexual is because they are not walking in love, Jesus said the most important two commandments were to love the Lord your God, and to love your neighbor as yourself. This is the New Testament Law, the Law of Love

Well, first of all, I'm a christian and a real one. I try to participate in everything related to church and I completely believe in the Bible. I've never in my life said that I hate homosexuals. They're human beings. I can't hate someone just because they're not perfect, otherwise I should be hating myself first. I do believe that homosexuals can be saved, simply by not having sex and following Jesus Christ. It's the same as if somebody who was heterosexual was having sex with somebody without being married. That's a sin, but they can be saved by not having sex and going to confess themselves. I seriously think that anyone in this world can be saved. We will never know who will be saved and who wouldn't because that's between that person and God. God is the only one who knows what's in the person's heart. Only God know if the person's heart is full of love and if they're really sorry for not following him.

The only hell we go to is the one that we create for ourselves. As we come into incarnation over and over we learn to overcome our lower nature to that of our higher self which is the christ principle and which dwells within us all no matter what religion we may come from.If we become honest with ourselves we can find the path to God in all of the worlds faiths.
