It's a change of your energy field.
Some people can induce a similar wave by will...
It usually originates at the place where your soul is seated.
For me,it originates at my head, because I am more intellectual-oriented.
Yours originates at the hearth, which means you are emotionally-orientated.
To some people, who are true hedonists, the soul is seated in his stomach,so they feel only a slight tingle of this energy field...

Habit. You're making that happen. You feel it when you eat something you enjoy. You feel it when you're about to watch a movie you've been looking forward to. You feel it when you see something gross. You feel it when you see someone you don't like. You feel it when you see your lucky charm. You feel it when you see that it is or is not cloudy outside......
There are sensations for just about every type of situation. They are all distinctly different, but you feel them all in the same areas of your body. Your torso, your stomach, your head, your neck, the back of your mouth around the wisdom teeth........ but there is no magic to it. You're doing it. Have you ever had sex? You know how you get all slow and comfortable???? That's you just as much if not more than it is your hormones.
The human mind is complex, but it's suprisingly simple, too. Those sensations are like thoughts minus the words. When you feel these sensations, you also hear something that is about as loud as your least audible thoughts. That is a primal, wordless language that ranks right up there with moans and grunts. You may not realize this, but you've been thinking (and almost deffinitely speaking) that language your entire life!!!!! There's no magic here, either. Since no two people share the same opinion about every single thing in the Universe the odds of this being a Universal 'Language' are slim. It's just something you do........ but YOU ARE THE ONE THAT IS DOING IT!!!!

how disappointing is it that it's all "chemicals produced in the brain" type answers? there is nothing less inspiring than that thought, "oh well, it's all just the release of chemicals", and pure biochemistry.
sadly it's pretty much true i guess. maybe, and im probably being a bit presumptious (v v sorry) the question that should follow on from that is how something as mundane as chemicals can be used to explain away such experiences. i don't think i'm explaining well, but obviously there are the bare facts of science about it....of course... and i'm not sure about "spiritual moments"...but there's something more special about that sort of feeling than chemicals. isn't therer? But blah, blah, sentimentality, i'll shurrup now.
but it would be so much more, kind of, i don't know, romantic about it if there was something far more spiritual which caused it. hmm.

Well, scientifically speaking, it would be just that; electrical, hormonal, and chemical signals in your body. These are triggered by certain parts of the brain.
Are you implying that it is God? If so, why would God take the time to give you a little tingle when you feel good? That would make it so God controlled you in some manner, which would be against free agency.
I understand the feelings totally.

Its a type of energy awareness; you need to connect with other energy aware people and do some experiments with "thought waves and feelings". Some equate these sensations with the opening of the heart chakra.

Are you talking about the rapid release of endorphins, adrenaline, or some other hormone? That'll usually do the trick.

chemicals. They are released in response to your brain's perception of what's happening. They are part of the emotion, but they are a result of the situation and how you interpret it.
