I'm 15 years old, turning 16 in three months, I was in a gang since i was 13, smoked bud, stold things, i even shot somebody. Since my last arrest (4 months ago), my mom stopped working and won't let me go out anymore, I tried leaving but she called the police and always threatens to do so. Now i feel like I don't have a life at all, like im locked up. im sorry for what i did but i wanna be out there in the streets. Was she right to do this?? Am I wrong??

She's just worried about you...Its a big step to be in a gang even though it gives you the feeling of belonging its also very dangerous...Its ovbious she cares about you...nd alot better than her kicking oyu out or just not caring about wut happens to you...♥♥♥

Your mom is just trying to protect you and keep you safe. I have a daughter who is almost 14 and I would probably do the same. This "gang thing", you need to stay away from. I was involved with a gang member 13 years ago. He was the father of my child. He is dead, died when his daughter was 8 months old. So my daughter has no father. Nothing good can come from being in a gang.

She's right. You're wrong. It's better to be locked up in your house then locked up in prison. You're lucky to have a mom that would risk so much for you. You should give her a break. Being in a gang isn't smart. Go to school, and graduate. Then go to college. Show your mom that your better than gang-bangin. You can be anything. A judge, a lawyer, a doctor, a teacher , a soldier. You should have higher goals and expectations than being on the streets darling.

I understand where it can be frustrating for you. You feel you've changed, that you'll make the right decisions now. You mom has re-dedicated herself to your life, and is probably not doing it out of anger, but out of fear. The only way to resolve this issue is to earn her trust back. It takes a while, but in the end you'll have freedom and a bond with your mother that should be amazing. Take it easy right now, get some books, pursue music, or start trying to figure out what you want to do in life, and start pursuing it. Time will work itself out. And every time she objects to anything, tell her you understand her, and that you believe you've learned from your mistakes, but if staying home is the only way to show her that you can make good decisions, then you will. You understanding how she feels will be the first step for her trusting you. --- Good luck

Yes, she is right. It is your own fault you are being treated like a prisoner. Better from your mom than real prison. Hurray for her.
