I don't understand how a church with over 50,000 missionaries can be considered exclusive.

Exclusivity is not purely a mormon characteristic, but it is part of their underlying teachings - not as a reason to be apart, but the influence of the gentiles may cause weak testimonies to break.
Additionally the core teachings and doctrine of the church require more 'acceptance' that the average christian, so as a mormon, one may feel left out of a christian conversation about the 'trinity'. If the mormon attempts to interject the lds belief, this group better be good friends because of the distinct differences in a core belief will become apparent.
Conversely, mormons can strike of a conversation with another mormon from another part of the planet, find a commonality right off the bat, and get along just fine.
Curiously, the above argument can be made for a Jehovah's Witness, Christian Scientist, Branch Davidian or former Yugo Salesmen.

Why do you think we are "cultish" and exclusive? What do you mean by "cultish"?
We are not exclusive. We want people to know the gospel and accept it. We want people to come to God, in His church. You can't do that if you are "exclusive".

Exclusive? Have you not seen the young men and women going door to door?
Cultish is debatable according to your definition.

I am not Mormon but a friend of mine is. Bottom line is it is a religion. All religions are cults on one kind or another. They are not exclusive. You can join. Its best if you really do beleive in Joseph Smith and Christ, etc. to really understand and appreciate that kind of life.

Get to know us. Visitors are always welcome.
Sometimes we get our activities centered around church and we may not take time to expand our friendships.

Thank you!
I came to this site to hear your uninformed opinion on a concept you don't support.
Could you people please tell us what you believe and spare us your opinions of other beliefs?
Or are you defined by your lack of respect for the ideas of others?

Because they are a cult.
They're freemasons with a religious label.
