What do I think? Well, if you're buying one, I'm jealous. Personally, I like the top tube design and everything else about the bike. It's a great bike that has proven itself in many races if that matters. Bottom line is that it is a great bike with good specs and a good company behind it. You can't go wrong with one.
Also, to the answerer that didn't like it because Specialized has it's own components, that's not a bad thing. Specialized (and Giant) makes bike frames and different components that you see on other bikes under different names. If snob appeal matters that much, then that would make one more of a poser than a person with a passion for riding.
Like the majority of high-end European and U.S. brand high-end bikes, these are made in Taiwan. There are actually more European high-end brand bikes made in Taiwan than U.S. brands. No big deal because Taiwan bikes are on par (many have exceeded) the build quality of the homegrown Euro and U.S. models in terms of quality and performance.

I like it. I think it's a great bike as are other similar models from other manufacturers. When you are in this price range, a lot is to be said for fit and of course personal preference. In this class (high end from major manufacturers) I also like the Cannondale Super Six and System Six, and the Trek Madone. I'm partial to the C'Dale.

Nice bikes if that's what floats your boat, as one poster says they are a hard ride.
When you spend your money on an out and out racer that's what you expect though, a 100 mile bash will leave you sore but you do get the sharp handling of a race bike.
Personally, I'm not a big fan, I tend to look for smaller brands but that's just me. take a look around though because there are some great bikes out there in that price range.
hope this helps mate.
EDIT: Infact I will go one stage further and risk a deluge of thumbs down but I think that American bikes are overated and overpriced - But riding a handbuilt European carbon bike I would say that! - Its up to you.

Its a nice ride but a little uncomfortable and unforgiving. I personally feel the frame is a little to stiff to be comfortable for a 100+ mile ride, but i'm sure I will get used to it eventually!

i think it is garbage.
it is just another specialized cheap out. everything is made by specialized just so they can save a dollar.
if that amount of money is going to be spent you could get an even better bike if you decide to build it up yourself.

Aside from what I consider an ugly top tube, its like asking a steak lover what they think of filet mignon...
