I know that ghosts don't exsist, but others say they do. I want evidence to back up my believe of them not real. Does anybody have scripture or something that supports it?

In the book of Job the Bible says that once a man dies, he does not return to his house. Don't have my Bible so I can't give Scripture verse.

Hi Kate,
It says nothing about Ghosts as we know them. Because ghosts are just demons pretending to be ghosts. They want you to think that you cannot die, just like satan told eve in the garden. Demons can follow people about durring their lives and so are able to imitate the dead with uncanny accuracy, deceiving the living who knew the dead. Yahuwah forbids his people from seeking after ghosts and mediums (those who say or think they can talk to the dead).
Yahushua taught us that we are no longer to stone such people to death, nevertherless we are not to seek after spirits, not tollerate mediums within the church.
The book of Job states clearly that when a person dies they are sleeping until the resurection day. And First Samuel will tell you about the efforts Saul and Samuel made to rid the land of witches and mediums, before Saul turned back and sought to speak to the dead.
The apostles decreed that only a few things be required of new believers as they gave their lives to Yahushua, that they keep from food offered to idols, fornication, things strangled etc. The rest they would learn from reading Moses' after they came into the church. So even today, we are still to obey Moses, though we are to forgive those who wrong us, just as we are forgiven. We are to free those deserving of death, just as we have also been set free. This does not mean he came to abolish the Law, but rather he came to fullfill it, just as we are to fullfil it. Peter and Paul both wrote about keeping the Law, and how important it is, even though they both say we are not saved by it.
Yahushua said that if your eye or hand causes you to sin, we are to pluck it out, cut it off and cast it away. Yet he also says that it is the heart that causes a man to sin. An eye or hand has no heart so what does he mean? We as members of his body each have a heart. And he will present his body to Yahuwah the father as pure and unblemished. If we cause the body to sin, he himself has the strength and determination to cut off sinners from his body.
So, keep the law, and seek not after mediums or spirits.
Yahushua Shalom

Eccles. 9:5, 10 clearly says the dead have no feelings or knowledge and are not able to do any work. So that leaves the dead out of ghosts.

What are they? Mostly imaginations gone wild but, a small percentage are real. Since they are not the dead, they are demons eager to make sure you turn away from the search for truth and make sure you never return to that search.

Ghosts are demons. There is no middle ground, only heaven or hell. Luke 16:26
