i'm using match.com and am finding it a bit of a soulless experience. Its getting me down a little all I want is to meet a genuine intelligent man, they arent on this site!!

i met one guy and we chatted for ages, met up and dated for a while but there was no spark. . .very frustrating

Been on match.com for over a year. Have met 10 men. Most were married/separated or just coming out of a longterm relationship. Most lied or played this down. Seemed really genuine and intelligent but after a few weeks things were not what they seemed.
You would need to get to know them slowly. They can hide all sorts of information. Better to meet someone through friends as you will know some of their background first. Hard to meet a genuine guy on there but my sis did after a year of meeting complete jer*s. I know exactly what you mean. Just finished with a guy who forgot to tell me he was engaged to his ex and had only split up with her 8 weeks previously. He was on the rebound and I was one of his casualties, am sure there will be a few more! Shame there isnt a website in the UK to warn women about these cads!

Keep trying. It works. The secret is to spend a lot of time getting to know someone on line first, before you meet them. Trust your instincts. If something feels bad, move on. Chat with a lot of people. Even date, but don't expect magic the first time. Don't be in a hurry. For one to find someone really special takes a lot of work. On line dating lets you sample the market in a real way rather than the hit or miss of the "meat market".

i have signed on it for free and i have seen a girl that was at my school a year older than me and i really liked and its like im not paying £65 just to talk to someone so im not impressed they should make it cheaper more people will join then lol
