geez... i was not being hasty. sorry if i sounded like i was. i am just not the type of girl who knows right off the bat what she wants her wedding colors to be. and i am not particular about details. i do like the idea of a darker pink, burgundy or red. also bronze is a good suggestion. very different. thanks guys!

what are the colors in your wedding?

geez dont get so hasty... usually you have somewhat of an idea of what colors you want at your wedding before you start buying items..

sorry if I thought you were too.. I was simply asking the question of what your colors were to see if you had something to work with.. Usually you have in mind what you want to do your wedding in.. Something that catches your eye.. Something that you have as a focal point that you build off of.. So I guess your dress is it..

here are some ?'s to ask yourself..

What style of wedding do you want?
What colors do you want to have?
What inspires you?
What did you dream of as a little girl?
What do you imagine your wedding to be like?
If you could compare your wedding to someone elses who's?

Well, I guess you know where you want to start, then.

Once you have picked the wedding colors, you'll know what colors to have the bridesmaids dresses in.

That said, I suppose the question really does go back to what colors you should use at the wedding. How pink are the undertones? If it's obvious, you may want to have pink as one of the wedding colors...If not, just call it champagne, and move forward with that.

There are about a million colors to choose from out there...I'm sorry that I don't have something more specific, but this is really a personal choice that only you can make. You could do champagne and brown...or pink and brown...or pink and green...or champagne and gold...or champagne and green...or pink and blue...or pink and burgundy...The list is really almost endless.

First...Congrats on your wedding!!

Second...to all the people who are making comments about hasty decisions you need to back-off. I bought my dress before I knew anything else and I used it as my inspiration.

I would suggest chocolate brown with a light pink accent or even a black dress.

For my wedding in August I let each girl pick their own dress. I wanted them to be long, but other than that I wanted them to feel good in them. I had 8 bridesmaids and all of them looked beautiful and very much still themselves.

Just a few thoughts. CONGRATS again!!

One of the trends that I like right now is to have your bridesmaids wear the same style dress in different colors. I think with the color of your dress (from your description) you could go with some pastel colors (baby blue, pink, light green, yellow, etc.). The thing about this option is that you aren't forced to choose wedding colors. Hope this helps, congratulations!

You could go with richer pink tones - certainly not Barbie pink - but mauves, and dusty rose colors would look nice.

OR the bridesmaids could wear pale green dresses and you'll look like a bloom among the leaves.

I depends on the time of year and whether you want to be unique or elegant.

Perhaps a nice red or bronze color? It would off set the pinkish undertones in your dress well. Those colors looks good on most people...

Congratulations!

I would get a sample of the fabric that your dress is going to be made with and take it with you to a bridal shop and see what it goes well. I am thinking you should find a similar tone of pink and go with that. Another idea is to put your bridesmaids in chocolate brown dresses with a sash made out of the same fabric of your dress.

A deep mauve-y pink, deep red tone or chocolate brown w/ pink accents.

On David's Bridal site the colors "cabernet", "dahlia", "wildfire"and "blackberry" are pretty for the deep red/pink sort of tones

I would say make them a very very light almost white pink color.... that would be really awesome and it would set your dress off so well with the contrast...Just my opinion tho.
