"Christianity...[has become] the most perverted system that ever shone on man....Rogueries, absurdities and untruths were perpetrated upon the teachings of Jesus by a large band of dupes and importers led by Paul, the first great corrupter of the teaching of Jesus." --- Thomas Jefferson

“There is strong reason to believe that St. Paul fabricated the belief system of Christianity from Zoroastrian mythology. In order to hide Paul’s plaigerism… Christians burned the library of Alexandria in 390 A.D. Books in that library kept Mithra’s original story of what Pauline Doctrine is an almost exact copy. The Christian Trinity is a copy of the Pagan religion of Rome called Mithraism. Mithra was a half man half god who died for the sins of his followers. Guess what date the SUN god Mithra was born on ? - Thats right ...December 25th

The concept of God having a son is the basis of most Polytheistic religions and the exact opposite of the Abrahamic message of Monotheism. Your Lord is ONE – no partner, no Son , No God incarnate.

good question that is even debated within the faith. here it is from my Christian perspective...

the Bible contains the living word given to us by God. while it has been translated throughout the centuries into different languages, one could argue that the message has been changed. i do not subscribe to this idea although i don't put it in the "this could never ever happen" column. God says that He will meet our needs and having the true word is our greatest need and i trust in His promise.
when it comes to the devil corrupting what people think, he does not need to mess with the Bible to do so.
although some think that the Bible is foolishness and contradictory, it all depends on faith. you may call it blind faith but once God has called on you, you feel as though you are seeing for the very first time. i can understand people having difficulty understanding this or even believing it but just because no one was there to hear the tree fall does not mean that it didn't make a sound...

infinite love and gratitude!!

Anything is possible! Man wrote the bible, the devil has the power to bend man to do his ill wills. And no religion will believe that when the bible was written, maybe someone had ill intent in it's meanings. Violence back then was probably as bad or worse than it is now, they needed something and someone to lead them to peace and contentment so there is jesus and the bible. As much controversy as there is about the bible and jesus and what the bible really means who really knows. If time travel were possible, we could have all the answers, but I don't believe anyone will truly ever know what God or Jesus meant to say to us in the bible.

What contradictory or biased statements would that be?

And no, the devil is kept on a leash. God would not allow the Bible to become corrupt like that. This is so that the gospel may continue to be preached throughout the ages.

How would a minister know for sure? All I can say is the bible is a book. Nothing more. It's a story about morals and parables and life and trying to answer questions we have no answers for. It was re-written, re-translated, added to and subtracted from for 2000 years! How can anyone believe that it is the absolute word of god after man has wrote and handled it for 2000 years?

Of course it's possible -- it would be intellectually dishonest to say otherwise.

Of course, it's about as likely as the bible being written by an Invisible Sky Daddy in the first place...

Please give an example of which statements are nutty and which ones contradict themselves. Plus why would the devil corrupt the bible to the point where he is still a defeated foe??

surely its possible.

Apparently, humans sin due to the devils temptation. So by that logic and reasoning, there is nothing to suggest that the men who wrote the bible hadn't been tempted to write something incorrectly by the devil

No way. The devil quotes the bible out of context and tries to corrupt man into believing half truths.

I'd say more likely the devil corrupted people's interpretations of the Bible, and continues to do so.

That's why it's important to seek spiritual guidance through prayer.
