beyonce and her family attends church but the things that they do don't match up with thier beliefs. Beyonce is dating a big time rapper(Jay-z), he doesnt really believe in God and smokes and does typical rapper stuff. All her firends and family say that he's a nice guy, but what about his soul. They also are planning to buy some houses together. She also dances in a way that i don't think Christians shoudl dance and sings secular music. solonge had a baby out of wedlock and then supposedly got married to cover up the fact that she was pregnant. Kelly isnt really out there and michelle is in between gospel and r&b. They all thank God at different award ceremonies, but shouldn't you sing and dance about music that glorifies God? I dont understand how you can profess that you are a christian, but you dont live like one. I know that God judges the heart, but if you are a true Christian then why aren't you living like one.

Gossip is also a sin you know......

EPH 4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only
what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it
may benefit those who listen.

Pro11:9 With his mouth the godless destroys his neighbor, but through
knowledge the righteous escape.

I can't speak for Beyonce and her family, but I can speak for myself. I am a Christian. I love the Lord with all my heart. Sometimes I don't act like I should and I stumble. I'm human. I ask God for forgiveness and I try to do better. Beyonce is in the spotlight and nothing she does is ever private. Good thing you or I don't have everything we do thrust in the public eye for all to see, because if we did, people might say the same things about us that you are saying about Beyonce and her family. Point is, none of us are perfect. True, a Christian ought to live in a way which does not cause others to stumble and which will glorify Christ, not make others think poorly of Christians because of the example set by one who does not act like one. Still, Christ tells us not to judge others, lest we be judged, and none of us are in a qualified position to judge Beyonce or anyone for that matter, nor to decide if they are Christians or not. That truly is up to God.

One more thing: when Jesus associated with those who were considered by the Pharisees and Saduccees to be the most vile of society (prostitutes, tax collectors, adulterers etc), they questioned how He could possibly represent God, let alone be the Son of God if He could associate with such people. Christ loved everyone and He sought to be a light among those who lived in darkness. How do we know that Beyonce isn't looking at the heart of the people she associates with and sees beyond the exterior and sees people who's souls are in need of light? We don't know. It's not our place to know or to wonder. It's God's place, and He alone will be the One to worry about whether or not she is truly a Christian.

I feel you on this one but we really can't judge. All we can do is pray that they set a better example. I really wish people would stop thanking God when they know they weren't thinking about Him in the first place. Will and Jada said it at one of the BET awards the rule was that if you can't sing it in church than you shouldn't be referring to God. But then that's just my opinion!...lol

So you have spent time with these people? If not, is feeding into the media being an outstanding christian like your suggesting you are? Is being a harsh judgmental person also included in those "guidelines"?
