Okay, to put my own beliefs out there since I insulted yours, here we go: (concerning my previous questions entitled "atheism the logical choice")

Religion does not necessarily make people nice to each other, but some sort of laws and morality seems to work better than a theory of "nothingness" which is what atheism is. You can say atheists believe in science and rationality, that's fine. But atheism is nothing without someone believing in God. So if the world were all atheists, the theory of god would still exist since there would be no point in calling yourself an atheist other than to disagree with people who believe (based on faith, so the disagreement would be pointless anyways.)

Since I control my actions, I am a god of myself. Atheists, that clearly don't believe in a god are basically saying in writing that they have no will power. So obviously this is illogical since you need a will in the first place to say this.

This is also not surprising to know that atheists consider themselves like animals. If you don't consider yourself to be a god-like human, the remaining possibility would be to consider yourself an animal-like human. Why atheists must side with animals and not just human-human is beyond my comprehension, but of course I could guess that they would say it is "the truth."

Speaking of truth, the only true fact that we have about the universe is that it exists. We have no indication of this except through our mind. So although you can say that the universe exists outside of your mind, you still had to use your mind in order to make that observation. After it becomes a "fact" of knowledge (your belief) you still can't do anything with this without first using your mind. So regardless of how the universe came about, the mind is an important factor and can not be negated.

With that said, the mind, since it is difference from the material universe, can be said to be immaterial.

And if it is immaterial, then it starts to sound like the definition of "soul." An immortal immaterial subtance that is our true nature.

Not to mention the fact that whenever you call yourself soul-less, that is basically saying you are love-less, life-less, having no emotion or care, etc, etc. It may not be entirely true, but that word soul, even though it has never been proven to exist, sure carries a heavy weight with it. But of course, that is your choice to call yourself soul-less or not.

Peace and I hope you consider my thoughts.

This paragraph doesn't make sense

"With that said, the mind, since it is difference from the material universe, can be said to be immaterial"

Most of us are nihilists to some degree, that doesn't prove the immateriality of the soul.

"Not to mention the fact that whenever you call yourself soul-less, that is basically saying you are love-less, life-less, having no emotion or care, etc, etc. It may not be entirely true, but that word soul, even though it has never been proven to exist, sure carries a heavy weight with it. This is plain stupid, you are equating an immaterial(non defined) quality, to emotional processes, i say non sequitur.

>>>Since I control my actions, I am a god of myself. Atheists, that clearly don't believe in a god are basically saying in writing that they have no will power. So obviously this is illogical since you need a will in the first place to say this.

That is totally illogical. Atheists do not believe in the supernatural, so you can call yourself a god all you want but you're just an individual human being. Any human can do whatever they choose and a lack of any God(s) can not change that.

>>>But atheism is nothing without someone believing in God. So if the world were all atheists, the theory of god would still exist since there would be no point in calling yourself an atheist other than to disagree with people who believe (based on faith, so the disagreement would be pointless anyways.)

If the world were all atheist, there wouldn't be a disagreement about the supernatural.

OK. I can tell that you're genuinely sincere and are trying hard to make some sense out of this really complicated and controversial issue. The bitter truth is I cannot figure out what you're trying to say. There doesn't seem a point to your monologue. This doesn't mean you don't have something useful to say -- I just can't figure out what it is. Rather than attack the merits of your arguement, I'm just going to admit that I don't really understand you well enough to have a reasoned opinion. Nevertheless, I can clearly see that there's something of substance in there. I'll bet you could say the same thing with half as many words and be twice as intelligible.

Big hint: Since you're not an atheist, stop trying to invent bizarre definitions or theories of atheism. (Atheism is not a "theory of nothingness," nor does it mean that atheists have "no will power.") You'll do much better if you just tell us exactly what you do believe, rather than trying (and failing) to tell us what we don't believe.

I read all that, and it just sounded like you were trying to belittle people, because you do not agree with them.

I am not an Atheist.
