If a Christian is a firm believer in the bible(aka fundie) then they're closed minded.
But if a Christian doesn't follow every single thing in the bible, they're not a true Christian.
If a Christian is pro-life, they're anti-women.
But if a Christian is pro-choice, they're just contradicting their beliefs.
There are many more examples, but I think this is suffice. So again, using those examples, why are Atheists never happy with Christians?
Is it just because we believe and they don't? Or because they just want to make us miserable by always fidning a way to put us down?
**and of course I know not all Atheists do this, and I am in no way generalizing.

If I WERE generalizing, would I say "Why do all Atheists hate Christians?"
Also, If someone shows me a contradiction in the bible that I cannot logically find the answer to, then I will stop believing.
So give me one contradiction that there is not an answer to, and I will switch sides.

Gjmb, I am not sure how many Atheists do this, but I see it more often than not. I have not taken an official count lol.
and to notsobusypat, You can't prove God doesn't exist, just like I can't prove He does...so isn't this argument just like "I know you are, but what am i?"

The UnPope, Rudy Gulliani is a pro-choice Christian.(atleast I think he is a Christian...
And of course, just because I ask a question, that I want an answer to, I am automatically persecuting you? Yeah, that’s logical. What about the talking snakes and donkeys? How they can talk? Why they don’t talk now, what do you want to know. And as of the flood waters, where do you think the water for the glaciers and the polar icecaps came from?
To Paul S, you may be right. But I have seen people, just out of spite,(not on here) point out that a Christian who was open to abortion was not a full believer in god because God wouldn’t allow abortion. And yes, you are right, “Christians” constantly judge other people and attack them for not fully believing what they do, but those are not the true Christians. They just judge and scathe lol...not soething god said to do.

disgruntled_penguin, why are you getting so angry with Christians? What have they done to you, judge you? Like I said above the true Christians do NOT judge, so do not think of the Christian faith as those in videos like Jesus Camp(or what not) or those who stand on the street corners spewing lies about fire and brimstone....
Listen to the ones WITH logic and do not assume they are the fundies, ok?
Also to The UnPope(forgot to mention before) I like your picture lol.

Catherine E...your statements sound fair, and would be correct if the person below you wouldn't have said this "You are as BrainDead as all your fellow cristians.Jesus Chist didn't mean for any of this to happen. You Christians embarass him.... Poor guy"
He is generalizing, and obviously He can't mean all Christians, because he doesn't know every Christian.
It is comments like these that Christians pull out the "you're going to Hell" junk to respond to. And that is judging yes, but "Judge not, lest you be judged" and I was judged by him.
I, in no way, am breaking my religious by judging this person. But because I said "you're going to Hell" you would see that as not keeping it to myself.
But why not respond to a hatefilled remark about my religion with a hatefilled remark about his? Eye for an eye and such.

To DomJ...I could agree with you,but those could be just memories they're seeing. Like when you dream, sometimes you talk. We do not know if they're talking to the person's spirit, or just seeing them in a memory.
Many people would say this is just a electrical reaction in the brain as it is shutting down, etc. etc. etc. that they don't actually see the people.

Lets number these, and point out the flaw in your argument:
1 - If a Christian is a firm believer in the bible(aka fundie) then they're closed minded.
2 - But if a Christian doesn't follow every single thing in the bible, they're not a true Christian.
3 - If a Christian is pro-life, they're anti-women.
4 - But if a Christian is pro-choice, they're just contradicting
their beliefs.
Now, notice that atheists have a problem with the odd- numbered ones, but don't criticize Christians for the even-numbered ones. You may have failed to notice it, but it's the believers, not the atheists who attack Christians for the even-numbered things you mentioned here.
So the atheists would prefer that you Christians not believe everything your leaders tell you about what the Bible says, and we'd prefer you to stay away from the anti-abortion movement. I'm good with that, and I'll bet most of the other atheists here are as well. If that means that you don't follow everything you see in the Bible, and that you're pro-choice, I doubt very much that you're going to get complaints from the atheists.

Because their belief system is non-belief. If you don't believe in something, you will fall for anything. Everyone needs to believe in something.
My question to non-believers is how did you get here? How were you formed? Who formed you? How can you reproduce? How was that very first atom, electron, cell created? Etc, Etc, Etc. You see where I am going with this.
It is each individual's choice. When the world comes to an end, each individual would have decided where they would like to spend eternity.
For non-believers, it would be a good and helpful thing to watch someone die. I don't mean suddenly but progressively such as having cancer. It has been documented and if you can see it first hand, there would not be any question. Because the death process is in general the same. During the death process, they begin to communicate with those who have gone before them. No matter what yo do you can't get them out of that trance. They talk about things such as the streets of gold, the gates, the beautiful colors, etc. It is very consistent in most of the cases. They begin to pray for everyone they know and don't know. A few days before they die, they seem to have a renewed strenght as if they weren't sick. The day before they die, they don't want to eat. If you ever saw someone that you thought was a non-believer on their death bed praying the way that they do, your thinking would change.
But, the bottom line is when it is your time to go it is. You will stand alone and be held accountable for things. You will not have your buddy (ies) with you.
Sometimes, things cannot be explained in this secular world. That is where faith comes in.
How many Atheists have called out to God when they were in a serious situation, maybe life-threatening for them or someone they love.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT

OK...I'll do my best.
(1) If a Christian is a firm believer in the bible(aka fundie) then they're closed minded.
But if a Christian doesn't follow every single thing in the bible, they're not a true Christian.
***We don't care what they believe, as long as they don't use those beliefs to condemn others, or try to take away the rights of others. If you want to believe every single word of the Bible, and live YOUR life according to it, then fine. But don't try to force me to. As for the people who don't follow every single thing, again that's fine as long as you keep it to yourself. What ticks us off is when people pick and choose things from the Bible and then use those things to condemn other people. (Ex: The Bible says that being gay is an abomination. Well...it also says that eating shellfish is an abomination, but you do that and have no problem with it. Funny how "abominations" only count when they apply to someone else.)
(2)If a Christian is pro-life, they're anti-women.
But if a Christian is pro-choice, they're just contradicting their beliefs.
***Again, it boils down to you having the right to live your life according to your beliefs. You want to be pro-life, then that's fine. Don't get an abortion. I've personally never heard an atheist complain about a pro-choice Christian unless that Christian is also somehow trying to condemn someone else for something related to their religious beliefs. Then they might point out that, according to religious beliefs, they're being hypocrites.
Basically, what it boils down to is--keep the judging and the condemnations to yourself and we'll have no problem with you. It's not the Christians who live and let live that we have issues with.

We have no problem with the people, its the faith getting in the way of better Judgement that annoys us, so we try to show them logic by demonstrating how their statements are contradictory.
We also get annoyed when Christian sheep flop into a pile and send a bucket load of rubbish to a public school attempting to say they have a bucket load of facts, they like to call this "Creationism".
One contradiction in the bible that cannot be explained, the fact that God can have the qualities of a God and a Man at the same time. Jesus was a Man and he was Divine at the same time, as evidenced by his miracles.

We are never happy with Christians because no Christian believes something that isn't either:
A) Rediculous. These are the fundies.
B) Self-contradictory. These are all the non-fundie Christians.
If you believe the Bible is the whole true Word of God, you don't have a solid grasp on reality. If you believe the bible is flawed, then you have no firm basis in which to believe that Jesus is the Son of God, negating the major point of the religion.
One exception is made for people who have personally talked to Jesus to confirm the story. They are simultaneously reasonably grounded in their belief, and quite insane.

I personally think they know they are wrong and they are desperately trying to get someone to tell them they are right, because if you believe in God, then you become responsible to him. It's a scary thought for some, but they don't realize that freedom and deliverance come from absolute submission to your creator.
What I don't understand is why they spend so much time and energy telling us we are wrong if they TRULY believe the Bible is a fairy tale. That would be like me constantly trying to convince a lunatic that the Goldilocks story never really happened. Why would I bother? Wouldn't that qualify me as a lunatic, too?
Christians are commanded to tell others about Christ, so that explains why we share our faith. Also, if we're right, the athiests are going to burn in hell and I don't think any of them understand that we care about that. If they are right, who cares - we'll all be OK in the end - so what's the point of the argument?
It's kinda like the line from Shakespere... "thou protesteth too much".

"But if a Christian doesn't follow every single thing in the bible, they're not a true Christian."
I have never seen an atheist do this, ever. I have seen plenty of christians do this.
"If a Christian is pro-life, they're anti-women. But if a Christian is pro-choice, they're just contradicting their beliefs."
I really can't think of any pro-choice christians offhand. But again, only other christians (and possibly atheist pro-lifers) would rail at them for this.

There is no reason to be happy with Christians - Christians are delusional and dangerous. Christian mythology only creates problems and solves none. Their faith is the cause of much of the strife in the world today and their ignorance has slowed down the progress of science for centuries.
