alot of factors take place in determining the cost in construction fees. Im assuming you mean every story is 10,000 sqft? 700,000 sqft, which seems a little small for 70 stories. Your going to have to pay for the design process and the building process, which will be hefty. Im guessing at reasonable dimensions, you would pay anywhere from 200,000,000 to 500,000,000. Im not an expert in the field of estimating construction fees, so its a logical guess. The world trade center was 800,000,000, so one would be 400,000,000. Building half the size would be 200,000,000. Inflation would make 500,000,000 high quality, and 200,000,000 lower quality. Im gonna get torn up by other posters.

Clifton's logic is correct -- about comparing the cost of other tall buildings and adjusting for inflation. Those estimates to 1 significant figure are certainly in the 'ballpark'.

70 stories an only 10000 sq ft would be a bean pole and could never be structurally sound enough to be built.
