It doesn't hurt much at all. It's just a little poke, and that's it. A good nurse can be done and you won't even realize it. One drew blood from my son when he was maybe 6 months old, and didn't even make the baby cry.
If it bothers you, just look away at something in the room - a TV, another person, or out a window. Try to figure out what's going on in the TV show, or guess what the other person will do at home tonight. This will help the time go by quicker.

it may hurt you a bit but hte best thing to do is focus on something else. it can be a memory of good times or an object in the area where you are-anything that provides a distraction-they usually do use the larger needles which i prefer because it is a quicker process and it hurts for less time-its a personal choice though. You do not want to be high or on meds when they take blood-especially depending on why they are taking the blood. If all else fails call the place where you are going and let them know that you experience anxiety attacks when blood is drawn-they may be able to recommend something that you can do or use to relax yourself. It is extrememly important to be relaxed as there will be veins all over the place if you are Either way dont worry about it too much-you will be fine.

When you get your blood drawn, it doesn't hurt that much. It feels like an annoying pinch that you want to scratch. Just take deep breaths during the process. Oh, and keep your arm as still as possible. If you move around your arm while the needle is in it, it will hurt.
Your dizzy and hot spells are some symptoms of anemia. But they can also be symptoms of many other things. You may just be dehydrated. You may want to google 'anemia' and look at the symptoms. If it turns out that you do have it, your doctor will probably give you iron pills (along with other pills) that will bring up your body's iron level.

I'm anemic too. Make sure you drink 64 oz. of water everyday. Water helps produce more plasma for yor blood. Break your three meals a day into 5-7 snacks. Also see a doctor for your thyroid. The blood draw does not hurt. Being anemic, you might feel dizzy ater the blood draw, so make sure you drink plenty of water and eat before hand and you'll be fine.

Not really.
Believe me, I know.
I spent alittle over a month in the hospital when I was 6 YEARS OLD getting blood drawn EVERYDAY.
I think you'll be okay for just one little pinch.
You'll barely feel it.
Just don't look at the needle when the doctor stciks it in, thnen you'll expect pain.

I don't know what that could be, that's why you're having a blood test. Tell the person who takes your blood that you're nervous (they are usually more careful and explain things better) it's a quick poke and then it's over. I've never had pain with having my blood taken.

It all depends on who takes the blood. Also, I think it depends on how your veins are, big veins are easier to get to. Last time I had my blood taken i didn't feel any pain, not even a pinch!
