She has a brain tumor or a tumor on her spine, or both. The memory loss and running into doors and such is a sure sign of a brain tumor. You need to switch to a different and better vet asap if you want to save your dog.

Just like people dogs can develop a condition known as epilepsy. However, other problems such as heart failure and cancer can cause seizures. Either way your vet should really put your dog on an anti-seizure medication like phenobarbital. Uncontrolled seizures can be dangerous-thrashing around can cause injury, the confusion and running into objects could make her hurt herself-and can be fatal-she could bite her tongue and worse stop breathing. She really needs to be on meds to help control them. Also, you may want to consider having that lump on her stomach surgically removed and sent away to biopsy for cancer. Your vet should really have recommended this.

the seizures appear to be occurring in clusters which is normal; they can get more frequent more severe and more life threatening as they progress. there are a number of causes of seizures in dogs liver conditions which will be ruled out by bloods taken at the vets, brain tumours or epilepsy. is it definately siezures, some dogs collapse due to lack of oxegen which could be due to heart or lung problems. the most common cause is epilepsy. where the dog just fits due to triggers in the brain. they can get worse as they progress but can be treated easily with daily tablets. your vet will prob take bloods and if theyre normal send your dog home on either epiphen or phenobaritone tablets at a high dose to start then reduce after a blood sample to check the drug levels, the drug is a sedative so you will see side effects for about a week until it gets used to the drugs. side effects are drousiness, maybe reduced appetite etc get him seen to in the vets

I don't think epilepsy is that uncommon in Goldens. Get a second opinion from another vet then talk to the national breed club. They will have loads of information.
The lump is probably not related.

Some dogs are epileptic....other smaller dogs have seizures associated with low blood sugar.I'm sure your vet has already done blood tests to rule these two possibilities out??

Take her to a different vet or have them run tests on her there has to be a reason why she is doing that. If you have a kennel for her you could put her in her kennel when your not home or put her in a room where she can't hurt herself.

Then take your doggie to a better vet. Vets are suppose to be able to answer your questions when your dog's health is in danger.
