I like a friend of mine and he likes some one els. I'm really confused because at times it seems that he likes me and I'm not the only one who thinks this like even his friends ask him when he plans on asking me out, and when ever ppl ask if we're dating he doesn't say anything I'm the one that has 2 say no, so I really want him 2 4get about her and just maybe think of me in that way.Well the point is that the other day he was mad because this girl he "really" likes doesn't know if she wants 2 be with him and he tells me he feels like giving up,so i tell him to wait 4 her like an idiot. I know that he really care about what i have 2 say and he takes my advices so why can't I bring myself 2 tell him to 4get about her.

No you said a smart thing and then treated yourself stupidly. THERE IS NO USE GOING AFTER A HEART THAT IS TOOKEN!!!!!! NO! NO! NO! Its a dumb idea, now helping them to work thru it, good, but give the guy sometime before you start laying down the mad game, keep being a friend, and don't go for it unless you know FOR SURE, that his heart doesn't hope for anything with her. Trust me on this your doing good, smart instincts, don't questioning them now. Sometimes insecurities work in our favor!
