I was wondering where there were some good places to go hiking around New Jersey. I leave about 30 minutes of New York city and wouldn't mine driving up to 2 -3 hours to find a good area to go hiking, especially if there are other things to do in the area.

High Point State Park, Stokes State Forest. Both are in North Jersey and have great hiking. We go all the time for camping too.

suitable around the corner to the Bronx Zoo is the Botanical Gardens. a hundred+ acres of nature blooming interior the Bronx! Hop on the downtown D prepare to 161st St for a Yankee game. BTW, Fordham college (the place Knute Rockne performed as between the Seven Blocks of Granite) is around the line from the two. Take aride on the SI Ferry (unfastened the two procedures - the SI Yankees have a stadium on the SI ferry terminal) and be constructive to pass to South highway Seaport some million mile up from Whitehall highway station at Battery Park on long island area. The Irish Famine memorial is up the West area in basic terms previous the broken sphere from WTC in Battery Park.

NJ has some great State Parks for hiking, swimming, camping etc.

The 3 sites listed should keep you busy.
