who was struck by lightning in Florida while he was out selling Bible books? He was not a Jehovah's Witness by the way. We don't "sell" anything. But the people who lived on the street where he was struck said there was a perfectly blue sky, and the lightning just came from no where. Kinda strange, huh?

It seems significant that several journalism sources initially reported that the lightning victim was a Jehovah's Witness.

Adherents of the 'Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses' appreciate that others connect them so closely with the door-to-door ministry established by Christ Jesus himself.

(Matthew 10:7,11,14) As you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.’ ...Into whatever city or village you enter, search out who in it is deserving... Wherever anyone does not take you in or listen to your words, on going out of that house or that city shake the dust off your feet.

No, I hadn't heard. It just reminds me
of the scripture that says something like;
"you receive freely, give freely."
Maybe he shouldn't be charging a price?
I live in Fl., now. And lightning actually does travel
from across the sky.
The storm could have been 60 miles away,
or 160. Our bodies do conduct electricity.
This state has more ppl struck by lightning,
then any where in the world.
And isn't there a scripture that refers to Jesus'
return and it goes something like:
"as lightning moves across across the sky
so will be the coming of the Son of man,
from one end of the earth to the other."

NikkiZ: I also saw that taping of that show,
I was applauding, & Loudly! praising Jehovah!
And the ppl who work on the show, for the truth!!!!

No it's not strange because it has happened before...but the chances of it happening are odd on a clear day...but Florida is the lightning capital...and remember lightning can strike anytime...anywhere...so unfortunately he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time...

There doesnt have to be a storm around for lightning to strike. Seems like a freak accident to me.

If it was god striking him because he was selling bibles it seems like god would have lightning strike all religious stores that sell the books.

This story has changed facts two or three times already today on Y/Q, depending on who asks the question. I'm beginning to think the whole thing might be a hoax.

Reminds me of the scripture at Ecc. 9:11 that says that no matter what kind of person we are, unforseen occurrence befall us all.

You know what is really funny? I people think the new world translation is like made up or something or that it is false, but a while ago i was watching jeopardy and they asked " What is the most accurate bible translation?" and the answer was the new world translation!

Yea sure. Coming from the witnesses who brought you such rumors as the Smurf or Chuckie Doll brought in by kids to the kingdom hall that got up and ran out the door when they heard Jehovah's name. That while out in field service, and buying something like a piece of furniture that was "possessed" and all you had to do was scream Jehovah's name or place Watchtowers and Awakes out to rid the demons. Or the one that gets me every time, that while out in service, the attractive pioneer sister went to the door of a madman who just killed somebody and he did not touch her because an angel just formed out of thin air in the form of a BIG muscular brother and only the madman could see him.

Wow, I can respond to this question in lots of ways, but every one of them would get me reported.

Lets just say how ironic that event was.
