he wants to hook up. if you can deal with that then have fun. if you can't, don't get in contact with him.

What were the reasons you broke up before? Was it maturity issues? Did you fight all the time? Did he cheat or lie to you? Was he a drug or alchol abuser? Did he ever hit or threaten you? Or was it different values and opinions or basic values.
You need to take a long hard look at yourself and think about how you have grown and matured over the past three years. Is he working? Has he proven accomplishments that show he has grown and changed too? Do you or have you had any other relationships inthe last few years that were more satisfying than that relationship was.
While it is true that people can change, some things like basic character issues rarely change after you are about 18.
While it is flattering to have a past love come back, consider whether you want to really take up wher you left off.

It depends how you guys broke up. If you still love him and he loves you and you broke up on good terms then you should get together and see how your feelings are when you guys are together. You can see if the spark is still there between both of you. If he broke your hard bad and treated you bad then i would say not see him or talk to him at all. I wish you the best! :)

Dont avoid him. If you want to have contact then you should but if you do not want to have him calling or visiting then you should stand strong & tell him that your life is fine & you would prefer not to have any further communications but you wish him well & hope he understands.

Tell him you don't want him in your life anymore!! Opening up past relationships that didn't end in a fairytale is pointless. Be polite and firm, you have moved on.

If you don't want to talk to him, that's your choice and he needs to respect that. If you would like to find out what he wants, but don't want to talk to him about it, have some one you know call him and see what is going on.
