In the Quran, Jesus is called the Messiah (Holy Prophet anointed with oil, sent as a redeemer for the Jews).

Muslims have been told an Evil leader will arise from amongst the Jews who will spread chaos all over the world and he will be the Messiah for those who rejected their last Prophet and Messiah (Jesus).

Islamic Prophecy states that God will gather all the Jews into one small area and then send them a false Messiah as a final chastisement for slaying the Prophets of old.

Many predict he will be of the Zionists who have hijacked Judaism like modern day Pharasees whom Jesus called the spawn of satan.

Muslims believe he will become the the leader of Israel, which explains the hostility toward that country as it became the fullfilment of the Islamic prophecy of the coming of the Dajjal.

Very interesting...thanks for the information!

I don't claim to understand the Qur'an but in if it accepts Jesus as the Messiah of prophesy, it seems just a tad strange that Muslims would accept the word of the Jews over the words of Jesus himself. Jewish prophecy foretold of a Messiah, but THEY chose to believe that this Messiah was for them alone. But Jesus made it clear on a number of occasions that he was sent as the redeemer for the WHOLE WORLD, not just for the Jews. In fact, I think this is one of the main reasons the Jews rejected him...he couldn't possibly be the Messiah because he extended the umbrella of his covenant with the Jews to other groups.

I also believe that a false Messiah (Christ) will arise (probably out of Isreal but not necessarily...Isreal will certainly be the focal point). ...but I don't believe this Messiah will deceive only the Jews...he will deceive the whole world...and the whole world, not just Jews in one small area will receive God's final chastisement!

The idea that God will gather all the Jews into one area is certainly consistent with the Bible as well...for whatever reason, he needs his original "chosen people" (the son's of Issac) to be gathered in the place where it all started...perhaps to bring an end once and for all to the fundamental dispute between the first born of Abraham (Ishmael) and Issac, the son with whom he made the covenant of the Jews.

Did God abandon Ishmael, NO...the bible makes that clear. I don't have a clue what covenant he made with the children of Ishmael, but I know he made one. But I do think, that at some point, it will be necessary for the entire world to come under a single covenant in order to bring about God's final judgment. Personally, I choose to believe that this covenant is the one brought by Jesus...love the lord your god and love others as I have loved you.

Ok so muslims somewhat consider Jesus the messiah. Actually that is not true but I will play along with your game. So what about the other terrible teachings of Islam?
