They are both paranoid that there is some kind of consipiracy where everyone is out to get them. Both hear voices sometimes, both have a skewed perception of reality, neither one realizes they are afflicted. Both can be violent and aggressive because of their affliction, especially when they think they are under attack.

PS I am not saying all christians are like this, but admittedly some are. I am just trying to answer the question as honestly as possible.

Nothing really. Schizophrenia is a MEDICAL condition, in which a person 'hallucinates' voices in his/her own head. Christianity requires 'faith' (the ability to believe something that cannot be 'proven' scientifically). Neither of those is 'using one's imagination' which may be what you think is the 'connection' between the two. Good question. I had to 'think seriously' to be able to give you a good answer.

Both claim god talks to them. Both are dangerous in that they are capable of committing horrific crimes that they truly believe are justified. Both make little sense when you sit down and talk to them. Both insist rational people are the deluded ones.

The both are humans and both are loved by God. Just like all humans regardless of faith or belief. The key is, loving God back. Thanks for the question and have a super day!
