I see what your saying, I don't think you hate people who don't believe though, but anyway I asked a question about being saved and got a few mean answers from non-believers and then I asked a question about religious people and got answers about how that was a silly question and stuff like that

You should be glad that Atheists are on here.

Do you not have compassion in your heart? Do you not believe that their very souls are in danger of forever being burned in hellfire? Well, this is your chance to be a good believer and reach out; or are you only concerned with preaching to the choir?

I believe that you are on here for the best of reasons - you love your faith and believe it will save you and others.

Haven't you ever really wondered why Atheists are on here as well?

They, like you, believe there is probably no more important question in the world than "Is there a God?"

So why would you be upset if they were just trying to test themselves to see if there really is a good reason to believe? You should be glad (unless you are happy with the thought of souls burning in hell, which I believe you are not.)

But Atheists have good intentions as well (even though they may not always show it). Imagine for a moment that they are right and there is no God...

Then religious wars, scaring children with threats of hell, and persecution of homosexuals were all just a shameful waste. Moreover, look at the atrocities caused by the beliefs of groups like the Catholic church that teaches AIDS ridden areas of Africa and the Americas that condom use is a sin. They are (at least partly) responsible for the loss of innocent life. Believers spend more time worshiping their imaginary friend then they do caring about real issues like alleviating poverty, or doing something about the great problems this planet faces. With that in mind, the best thing atheists could be doing is trying to introduce people to a logical way of thinking and overcome their superstitions.

Also, consider what you asking this question really says... if you are worried about people who question your belief system, maybe you are not all that secure in your beliefs. If your beliefs are logical, then answer their questions; it shouldn't be an issue.

Ultimately, what matters is who is right (if any of us), and how do we know that.

If you wish to know more about the damage that religion causes, I suggest you read "The End of Faith," and "Letter to a Christian Nation" by Sam Harris.

I clicked the question because "nobody" is gonna tell me what I can and can not click on. Block me if you dont like it.

Yet in defense it is an equal playing field when it comes to those who want to prove something. I just saw a question that stated "what kind of demonic moron doesnt believe in god"
Some of use truely post legit questions yet the precious little babies of RS cry and whine "stop baiting us" so trust me its the non believers who get more hell around here. If we ask a serious question were damned if we dont were damned.
You need to open your eyes to this a little better.

Well, that's the thing about you believers. Not much of a sense of humor. You find that funny?
Have you got an atheist section here? And if there were, you know all the missionaries (and most of you seem to think you are missionaries) would be flocking there.
Seriously, vintage, what's the point of only talking with people who agree with you?

I happen to be a Pagan Taoist. This is NOT the Christians Only section.

So you get off on making fun of what you do not understand? What a great person. I better join your religion so I can be kind and wise and sweet just like you!!!

I am a Believer. In the Goddesses and Gods, in the summerland and in Faeries. It's Religion and Spirituality, no the Christianity section. You are not the only religion no matter how hard you try to pretend.

Oh my...another hater. Not nice! BTW...I can read or answer any question in here. Just because you put BELIEVERS ONLY means nothing. I see Christians answering the questions put to the atheists all the time.

atheist

Well, by many of the xian's definitions here on Y!A, atheism is a religion (it is not). I think that alone should allow us to mock..er... answer you.

And if you can clarify how spirituality is exclusive to religion, I'd greatly appreciate it.

The BELIEVER'S ONLY, I'm sure, was just bait..

You asked: "why do we go to the opposite of what we "believe" to voice our opinions?"

Well, isn't that obvious? How else would we be able to make the point that your beliefs are irrational and nonsensical?
