The last non-chicken laid it's non-chicken egg, yet out hatched a chicken (freak) which from that point on laid chicken eggs.

According to the theory of evolition the egg would have to be first. The first chickens parrents would be "almost" chickens but not quite. The egg they laid that hatched into the first chicken would then be the first chicken egg, thus the egg came first.
