do you LIKE pugs? I mean sure it's a financial opportunity, but you don't strike me as a person who'd breed dogs for simple finances. Aside from the money you'd have to spend a lot of time with the little heathen dogs (and pugs are true little heathens), so if you don't enjoy them it's kind of a waste.

First of all, the only time a Pug won Best in Show at Westminster was 1981. Secondly, if the breeder of a great line of Pugs, or any other breed, is retiring or cutting back and looking for someone to carry on the line, they would be talking to fanciers of the breed - people who are already knowledgeable about the breed and care about it not for its popularity but for the sake of the breed. This sounds like a scam.

these days, pugs are extremely popular. not just because they're adorable, but because they're also great with kids, easy to care for, very loyal, and good with other dogs. however, they can be stubborn, a bit rambunctious at times, and have some health problems in later life. you also have to give your pug enough attention so he/she doesn'tget lonely, and they don't do well in extreme climates. i say go for it, but do what you want. good luck!
