Most programs that do not list on the add / remove programs list, and do not have a "remove" option in their start menu section are spyware / malware programs, then DO NOT want to let you remove them.

Alternatively it could be some spyware causing the problems with the add remove progs list.

I'd reccomend these 2, run each in turn
ADAWARE fro www.lavasoftusa.com (Free personal version)
also SPYBOT S&D from www.spybot.org (Again free for home use)

Also worth having in toolbox is CCLEANER from www.ccleaner.com again a free download, and a good general windows tidyup utility.

I just randomly picked this one from www.tucows.com. Perhaps it will work for you. You can search this site for other free programs.

http://www.tucows.com/software_detail.html?id=276476.

If you don't see a program you installed in the add/remove programs, then it probably is a self contained exe files which do not write files to the Windows registry.

I like CCleaner ... there is an add/remove feature in there. I'm not sure if it will help resolve your issue though ... i'm not sure if it will find a different list of programs than the Windows Add/remove programs list.

Adaware and spybot search and destroy are two good programs, but I also like the program called winpatrol. It is a free program and can give you general details of programs that are running on your computer and will give you the option to remove it for you. You can go to dowloads.com and search for it there.
