yes I can prove it
the catholic church spends a large amount of money investagating miracles every year if god had healed an amputee they would of exulted it as physical proof of god they same way if they got hold of jesus' DNA and found it ot only have genes from his mother

"22And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive."

Actually that's the wrong question. People with bone cancer or infections or gangrene, something that might make an amputation necessary, have prayed and -some- of them have been healed, making amputation unnecessary.

But the facts are still on your side. Richard Dawkins points out that every congregation of the Church of England prays every week for the continued good health of the royal family. So if prayer worked to improve health, they should be the healthiest people on earth!

There was a study done where some hospital patients were prayed for and a control group were not prayed for. There was no difference found. In fact, it turned out that when people -knew- they were being prayed for, they did worse!

I am not religious, but I think I have an explanation for this that would serve if I -was- religious.

Christians (and Jews and Muslims) believe that God has a plan for the universe--I mean that he created the universe in the first place as part of a grand plan. And that this plan is much more complicated and important than we could imagine, so we just have to trust him about it.

Now if this is true, why do we ask him for things? If he wants us to have them--meaning if these things are consistant with his plan--he'll give them to us without our asking. He knows our thoughts, right? So what purpose is to be served by telling him what we want him to do?

Your bone cancer and amputation might serve this plan somehow. Don't ask me how. God knows. 8^) When bad things happen, people of faith are always saying 'Well it was God's will. It was part of God's plan. So it must be all for the best, even if it doesn't seem like it to us.'

When you pray and ask God a question he already knows what you won't ,You don't keep asking the same question pray for others no only yourself He will answer your prayer just not in the way you won't ,I know Prayers work and when you loose a limb or life there is a reason you just need to pray about it and you will find out about other things more important than just loose in a limb, hope this helps.God bless

My question to you is how do you know that God never healed or heals any amputees? Are you in any position to know everything that God did or will do? Can you see and hear everything that goes on in this world? I don't think so. The God that I know is able and willing to heal every condition and every disease, nothing is impossible with Him. But there are certain conditions that must be met first, Read the Bible for all of that.

Be a smart ***, but fine, I'll play...

First off, what reason causes you to assume that he hasn't? Can you prove that no person has ever regenerated a limb through prayer?

Second, not all healing is physical. There are lots of amputees who lead full and productive lives, even grateful lives following amputation. Is that possible without some form of healing? Spiritual acceptance of the loss is necessary to cope with the loss, and there is spiritual healing that is possible with prayer, even without it.

This question is typical of the sophistry exhibited by many professed atheists.

If he SOMETIMES says no, don't you think that, given the number of amputees who have prayed that they won't lose hteir limb, or that they could have a new limb, he would have at least granted ONE new limb?

Excellent question. Perhaps it's because there is no god, and all prayer is completely pointless?

God always has a plan for your life. I have asked God for many things in my life that never happened. That doesn't mean that prayer doesn't work. It just means that my plan for my life, and God's plan for my life were different. I must say that my life has worked out very well on God's plan. If I had gotten what I wanted it might not have worked out so good!

The healing is there...if not the person would of bleed to death!!

The human body heals and repairs itself...and that is only because the body is God creation.

God does not always say YES or answer our prayers the way we want Him to do.
There are unanswered questions in this life, whether you believe in God or not.
Prayer does work.
He sometimes says NO.

Because it wasn't God's will and wants everyone to look to him, not only in troubled times. The will be bad times, we have all experienced. He can do what He wants and when He wants. He does hear your prayers. He has a purpose for the things that happen, you will see that someday when His time is right for you to see.
