He was Major Panic

It was a heck of a promotion party when he made major. So many really bad jokes.

I knew a Private Ryan in Basic Training; I also worked with a fellow named Major Mills, who I always told everyone that I looked forward to the day he got promoted to a general... (that, and I wondered aloud if he'd have become a cereal killer to get to that rank...)

I also knew someone who swore they'd met someone in the Navy with the last name of "Guzzler". A female, no less. What kind of rotten luck would you have, if you were a new female recruit in the Navy, called Seaman Guzzler?

Ain't got one, but the funniest first name I've come across was a sergeant called Alien - rumour has it that the doctor wrote his original name 'Allen' illegibly and it came out as 'Alien' in his birth certificate.

Obviously I've seen a Major Payne, there was a civilian named Richard Ryder (called Dick of course), Capt. Plante (but if you say it fast it sounds like Planet) and a Sgt. Sergant

I"m sure there are more but these are the only ones I can think of at the moment.

Richard Dick and he was a BIG man...6'7 and probably weighed over 275. But this was at a job, not in the military. Jokingly we called him Big Dick! He had a sense of humor and never got upset about it.

I went to basic with a Private Horney and another guy was named Gaiy (pronounced gay) so the drill sergeants made them battle buddy's. Horney Gay.
