What sort of knucklehead would make a bet with an omniscient/omnipresent being of infinite wisdom. Even if Satan got good odds. Like a kagillion to 1 cent. But even then it's still not a good bet.

Job kinda got chumped on the whole deal. Like Dan Akroyd's character in "Trading Places" with Eddie Murphy.

The prologue and epilogue to Job was not part of the original poem. Satan’s role was that of God’s messenger and it wasn’t a gamble.

The Bible does not specifically condemn gambling. It does warn us away from the love of money, though I don't think any coins were changing hands over Job.

No...there was no money/prizes involved. Satan wanted permission to test Job's faith, and God said, Go right ahead, Job is Blameless and no matter what you do, he is faithful and loyal to God.

"Sure things" are never a gamble.

But even more interesting is that Satan could not exceed God's premission to afflict Job. Satan is still subject to God.

Why do you believe that the book of Job must be interpreted literally?
And honestly, this is the best point that you can come up with?

It's not gambling if you already know the outcome.
