I propose that we end the debate and start taking some action.
First thing is to pass new laws making it a felony to hire, rent to, allow admission to schools or universities, provide medical care or any other services to illegal aliens. Make it a mandatory five years in prison. No exceptions , no early release, and no Paris Hilton or cop jails, REAL prisons. Make every person in a company or organization responsible for checking and verifying credentials. If there is an illegal working for a company not only does the CEO go to prison but so does the person in HR who allowed them to be hired. That's five years for EACH illegal. Next authorize a reward for anyone who points out a company who is hiring illegals. Finally set up toll booths on our southern border and charge illegals $1000 cash to leave the country to help pay for the rewards to snitches. After the first 50 or so people go to prison there will not be a job, house, or any services for illegals and they will gladly pay to leave our country.

This plan costs us NOTHING! The small expense is paid by the illegals. We need no fence built as they won't be coming back. We don't have to support them in jail and we don't have any expense of finding and deporting them!

I am against illegal aliens living here in the US. I think that we need to close the borders, and start following the laws we have already. I think we need to start an agressive form of deportation of these people. I know this sounds bad but, I also think that we should temporarily stop visas to the US, until things are straightened out. I think INS needs to start doing it's job... if they grant someone a visa of any kind, they should keep tabs on them. That is how some of the illegals are getting here...overstaying thier visas... Americans don't want these illegal aliens or thier offspring here. I think we should have our National Guard assisting the border patrol with catching these criminals, and the coast guard checking boats and ships for stowaways... Something NEEDS to be done... it is no longer a "problem", it has become an epidemic in this country.

ILLEGAL immigration is a crime and all illegal alien criminals must be deported! This is not a racist issue because it doesn't matter where they come from. If they are illegal, they shouldn't be here.

As for the prior person that said Congress couldn't agree - big surprise and big deal. As for the American voters - 85% don't want amnesty and were against the bill. That's a HUGE majority that should be listened to!

We must enforce our laws!

If the govt. would secure the border, then it probably wouldn't be much of an issue.

However, since the govt. refuses to sercure the border then there has to be a reason behind it. Looking into the issue, its easy to see why....the federal tax income and social security payments made by illegal aliens using fake IDs to get work. The govt. needs the money, especially with all the baby boomers getting ready to retire.

Also, big business needs cheap labor. Since the politicians are beholden to these big business special interests, there is little done to secure the border.

Illegal is just that illegal. We need to enforce our laws on the books.

As far as I'm concerned there is nothing to debate. They need to be deported. Those that hire them need to be heavily fined, and we need to enforce every law on the books.

If people aren't willing to do what it takes to legalize themselves, they don't belong in this country! Follow the rules
