Yes I have, I've had a Mastoud ear infection and it is very painful. Put an ice bag with a small towel wrapped around it on his ear. It might be painful, it will help if you hold him while doing it. Do this several times a day to help scatter the infection. Hugs and kisses help a whole lot too.

Wow, i've got under no circumstances had that myself, nor truly considered it. I took a classification in communique technology and themes final semester that spent a great deal of time on audiology and pathologies of the ear and that they did no longer point out something like this with an inner ear an infection. possibly it is something like otitis externa (swimmer's ear) it is inflicting swelling interior the ear canal and making it seem that way? If it is great, call the wellness practitioner and ask him approximately it, for helpful.

yes, it is swollen from the infection and he may be pulling at it or laying on it to relieve the pain..It will go away in a day or so when the antibiotics start working.
Give him some Tylenol, or Motrin for children, it will help relieve the inflammation. If his fever goes up call your Dr.

Ummm I think you should call the doc back and tell him what is going on. It could be that fluid is building up in there really bad - this is dangerous because it could damage his ear drum if it ruptures.
