Take both out for a test ride and by the one you like. In the end, that's all that matters.

Look, these are both great bikes. Both are American built and are even being ridden in the Tour as we speak. That being said, fit is crucial. Personally, Cannondales fit me great. Treks have always been a little long for me. Second, ride them both. They both feel a little different. In terms of warranty, they both have lifetime on the frames.

the trek carbon bikes are a little more aerodynamic than some of the cannondales, depending on the models, the madone SSL 6.9 is very race oriented compared to the '08 SystemSix Si Replica.

Not much difference. I'd go with the one that has a better warranty and customer service support. So far, I've heard of people's good experiences with Trek.
