I while ago, one dentist didnt do a good job on a filling and a year later i had to get a cap. I got a number of numbing injections in my gums...but NOTHING seemed to numb me totally...i kept feeling the drill and it felt like a icy shot in my mouth. I have to go to the dentist again (i am seeing another one) because whenever I eat anything sugary...that tooth hurts for a bit. Has anyone else experienced this?

when you get numb for a crown you shoulnt feel it at all

your dentist did not do his job rite.

you have a cavity in that tooth, and theyre going to take off the crown, put a filling in it, put on another crown

i have had the same experience several times, on one side of my mouth i have a nerve that doesnt travel the normal route, my dentist had heard of such cases before and had to numb it in a different place instead of in the same vicinity of the tooth. i also require about 3 shots of pain killer beyond the norm every time i go, i always alert my dentist of this to remind him and tell any new ones, they keep testing til it is absolutely numb now

HELLO,
IT'S NEVER NORMAL TO FEEL SUCH PAIN FOR A CROWN PREP. THIS DENTIST DIDN'T MAKE SURE YOU WERE NUMB BEFORE HE STARTED TO DRILL.
SINCE YOU HAD A NUMBER OF INJECTIONS, EITHER THE DENTIST KEPT MISSING THE ZONE TO GET NUMB OR YOUR BODY CHEMISTRY WAS INCORRECT OR AN ABSCESS KEPT THE ANESTHETIC FROM BEING EFFECTIVE.
THE FACT THAT SUGAR CAUSES PAIN SPEAKS OF A CAVITY WHERE THE CROWN IS. A NEW ONE NEEDS TO BE MADE.
