And do those choices line up with Scripture, or not ?

Please be honest.

Thanks in advance for all answers. Bless you.

Elmo -

An honest answer, if nothing else.

Don't mean to offensive in my manner, but are you a real, born-again (changed from within by the Holy Spirit) believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, or just a churchgoer ?

Suzanne -

A good answer, but I'm a little concerned about the distinction that you make between Jewish & Gentile Christians, especially in the light of Ephesians 2:14 - 22.

Have you ever read "Judaism is Not Jewish - A Friendly Critique of the Messianic Movement" by Baruch Maoz ? I have a copy which I would be glad to mail to you if you would like to give me a PO Box no or the address of a post office local to you.

PS By the way, I don't believe that I'm "cruisin' for chicks in R & S"...

Good question, but it will of course vary by answerer, since we all have different likes and dislikes. I'd say mine are:

1) Godliness (i.e. he MUST be a practicing Messianic Jew or Christian);
2) Intelligence;
3) Great sense of humor.

In no particular order: I am looking for a girl that is kind, fun to be around and I am attracted to (yes, physically). Are these in line with the Word? I think I'd say sort of. I mean I don't list faith, hope and charity I guess, but there's nothing wrong with what I do list.

First off who wouldn't want to be with someone who is kind? I mean kind people are the right type to be around, no one wants to be with a selfish, mean, spiteful, whatever person.

And as for being fun to be around and atteractive, that's what I would enjoy. And God created Eve for Adam (woman for man) so he could have companionship

Genesis 2:18: Then the LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is right for him."

So naturally who is right for him (or her) is someone he/she wants to be around. And physical attraction is part of the equation. I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

I look for five things in a relationship. I want a woman who can make me laugh. I want a woman who can satisfy me sexually. I want a woman I can talk to. I want a woman Who can cook well. And most important of all, these women must never ever meet.

Not sure where that stands scripturally, but there you go ....

1 honesty
2 churchgoer (practicing christian)
3 kind
these would be my first three but they would also have to be non-smokers and tee-total as well as i hate alcohol and the smell of cigarettes.
