I often have this argument with my mum and step-dad who are Muslim, and who believe that non-Muslims will go to 'hell' I believe that no matter what religion you are, or what you believe in, as long as you praise your creator and live by the moral rules of life that are in-born (A baby will smile if he sees an animal, but cry if he sees the animal being killed....even without sounds)....I sick experiment I agree....but true.

We all know the rights and wrongs of life, so I believe if you live by them then 'God' will not send us to hell. He's supposed to be a loving God,.....

So to the people who were born into a tribe in rural Africa and have no experience of set religions, but are very spiritual etc....will they get to judgement day and God will say, "well, you spent your life being loyal and dedicated to your God, but unfortunately you picked the wrong one, so you're going to hell" I don't think so!

Well if you were hindu you would probably here of christianity because in hinduism it says they believe all gods are acceptable and (y'all correct me if i'm wrong) it mentions christianity. As far as other religions are concerned, Jewish know Christianity, Bhuddism branched off from Hinduism, Muslims would likely here of Christianity, etc. It is really up to those that already know God and Jesus Christ to bring them to those that don't. And with the thing about it happening 2000 yrs. ago, we live in a society that just has to have proof for everything. If we cant see it we don't believe it. And as for those that don't believe god is real I hope you will one day come to know the Lord.

Everyone has an innate knowledge that there is a supreme being....whether that being is God, or The Great Spirit, or someone higher than the self who is other-worldly actually desires God -- whether he/she is consciously aware of it.

Therefore all the good that we do -- whether as Catholics or Buddhists or pagans or atheists, etc. is inspired by God. God will not punish those who do not know Him.

Baptism is simply the ordinary means to salvation....God cannot be limited to only one way.

Yes it is your fault to choose your eternal path.
He gave you a rule book to follow, and he gave
you people to tell you the truth or to follow a lie.
The great lie is that there is no God and the great
lie is that Jesus was just a cool dude. The great
truth and wonderful blessings are that God so
loved you that he gave his only son to pay the sin
price on your behalf.

Satan is real, Satan will try his hardest to get you
to believe the lie, just as he did to Eve... etc...
He's all over the place too.... and we are in the
middle of a great battle, you have to choose what
side you are for.

Good question. Ya know the thing about foreknowledge is that you don't have to exercise it. Also what if the punishment for non-belief was eternal nonexistence? That doesn't sound like a contradiction does it? There are a LOT, and I mean a whole lot, of people claiming to be christian that sound dumb.

You don't sound too bright.

You will face the Judgement for you own sin.

That is perfectly fair.

If you refuse God's mercy and grace to you now, you will also have to face the consequences then.

It is not a small thing to sleight the goodness, mercy and love of God.

Further, your assumptions, (or should they be called presumptions?) are also from ignorance and are not correct.

God deals with each person individually.

i've asked a similar question before. my srgument is that christians constantly talk of the importance of forgiveness yet god will send someone to hell not because they are a bad person but because they made the wrong choice or as you say were born in the wrong place. Doesn't sound like a very forgiving god.

I don't believe in god anyway but even if i wouldn't be a member of a church because it just doesn't make sense all the rubbish people are told in church like you will go to hell for simply questioning something.

God is forgiving. He's not that mean, If you don't know of it, you won't go to Hell. If you know about it and refuse to accept it, you have some explaining to do to God, but that does not mean that you will automatically go to Hell. One of the largest misconceptions about God is that they think God will send everyone to Hell who is ignorant about Christianity. It's up to God, If you were a good person, but followed the wrong religion, I think you'll be fine.

*edit*
One has the freewill to be good or evil. It is up to ourselves and we cant blame anyone else but ourselves for our sins

I do believe in God and I struggle with that question myself. I also struggle with "why are we being punished in a life of sin for something someone else did?" I didn't make Adam and Eve eat that fruit....why should I have to suffer in this world because of it? I really don't know why it is the way it is...I wish I could answer your question.

The choices you have to make in your life are the same as people in Jesus's day had to make. They tried to stone him to death on a number of occasions and finished up torturing him to death. If he started preaching in London today, he and his followers would probably just get slagged off in the Sun.

If you can't rise to meet the challenge and want take the easy way out - yes it is your fault. Whether God decides to send you to Hell for it is his business - but I recommend you make it yours.
