Can anyone confirm whether this size is large enough to prevent blurring? It's just part of the mantra I'm tattooing around my arm, so I couldn't go larger than this. If it's too small and could blur over time, I'll choose a different mantra.

Thanks in advance

By the way - that's just PART of the mantra. Obviously, my arm in not that thin :-) And my desktop resolution is 1024x768, which I forgot to mention.

it really depends on the artist you get to do that tattoo. your best bet would be to go to an artist that specializes in fine line tattooing. i have an artist friend who does pinstriping tattoos. which means he is good at using a single needle and has a very steady hand. with the right artist you could get it that size but DEFINITELY go to someone who is experienced in doing delicate tattoos like that.

1. Yes, too small. Try at least 3 inches for the detail. Also, on a personal level, did the person have a favorite type of fish to fish for? Like bass or trout or whatever? So if he/she did, get that kind of fish. 2.a. Check with your artist. In some states tattoos on the feet, hands, or anything above the neck is illegal. 2.b. You will want it to have the most optimal chances of healing well. Follow your artists after-care instructions very carefully. Always use sunscreen on your tattoos. Heck, always use sunscreen. Cancer sucks. Yes, try to keep a foot tattoo uncovered as much as possible. The skin there is pretty thin & boney, so I imagine it may have some fading, and you might even have to be touched up more than once or twice (that's when you go back and have the artist fill in any lines they may have missed, or spots that didn't get color; it's rarely perfect on the first sitting). 3. For the best of the best parlor, at 3 inches, and depending on if you have color, I would expect $100-$200. Remember, good tattoos aren't cheap, and cheap tattoos aren't good! 4. Can't help you with the New England part as I live in Texas, but ask around, ask around, ask around. Do internet searches, etc to see if a certain parlor has any complaints against it. Check out the parlor first, "just looking". See if it's clean. Look at the artists' portfolios. If they don't have one, hit the road. 5. Good luck! I hope it's wonderful.

Yes that size is large enough to prevent blurring. Most blurring is caused by the tattoo artist going too deep with the ink. If the ink is too deep, the capillary action draws the ink out from the line and makes it blurry.

It won't blur..just make sure you have an experienced artist because some can't do intricate thin lines

if it's that exact size? then No,
i think it should be at least 3 times bigger if it's going to be around you're arm..
it may look like you did it yourself it was any smaller-
just coming from a gal covered in tattoos.

At that exact size? I think it would probally look very nice if you could make the lettering just a tad bigger it might prevent bluring more.

It should be a bit bigger. ALL tattoos "spread" over time. They need to have a decent size to them so that when they do spread you can still tell what they are.
